"Charlie & Hannah's Grand Night Out"
Fourth feature alongside Hans Bruch Jr. What seemed to be a boring walk and talk film, quickly changed into a surreal and absurd adventure epic. A lot of dolly and steadicam shots in this one. Click on the photo or here to visit the Minds Meet website. D.O.P. Hans Bruch Jr. |
"The Barrier of Silence"
A Mafia movie for once! Robin Pipeleers from Skladanowsky stood at the helm of this thrilling story. Cedric Vankerckhoven |
"Fataal"
The youngest director I've ever worked with to direct a feature film, when production started Jesse Bleekemolen was only 17. I did steadi- and B-cam on this film is about senseless violence and how the victim deals with the aftermath, heavy stuff. Click on the photo or here to visit the facebook page. D.O.P. Sanna Mensonides |
"Danse Macabre"
Michael's ambition to shoot a film on Panavision Anamorphic was all I needed to be on board. It's a vibrant melodramatic tale about a rather "special" school. Click on the photo or here to watch the trailer D.O.P. Hans Bruch Jr. |
"Within Temptation"
Last year, commisioned by Welzen Studios, we worked on something really special, the largest on-stage holographic projection ever to date. It's an experience that has to be seen in real life rather than on TV, many clips found online are hardly representative. Click on the photo or here to see Sharon give a short explanation of this part of the show. |
"Junk of the Heart"
In this short film by Mieke Briers, Felix tries to capture the sexual fantasies of his younger girlfriend Elise. Click on the photo or here to visit the site. D.O.P. Hyun De Grande |
"BMW 7-Series"
Pushing a 150kg dolly in and out of a pre-production model BMW, it's a living. During shooting everybody had to clear out of the studio because a sheikh wanted to see the car before buying it, quite odd. Made for Kanaal Z, a financial news channel. Click on the photo or here to watch the clips. D.O.P. Piet Deyaert |
"Eddy Merckx"
Arguably the best known Belgian cyclist in the history of the sport, the aptly nicknamed "Kanibaal" has his own line of very exclusive racing bikes. For the new collection we rigged a projector in a VW Crafter and filmed the images projected on various landscapes. Click on the photo or here to visit the site. D.O.P. Oliver Imfeld |
"A day will come my future will be your past"
The second fiction project by Sarah&Charles. Combining Steadicam and Key-grip work on this one was right up my alley. This film's about two girls that meet and talk about a life set in the future. Click on the photo or here to vie the entire film. D.O.P. Hans Bruch Jr. |
"Fragments"
The first German film I worked on. A heavy tale about a young man that tries to deal with the illness of his mother. An incredible experience, shot on 16mm anamorphic. Click on the photo or here to watch the entire film on IMDb. D.O.P. Julian Krubasik |

"Telenet Kickstart"
Working together with the good folks at "De Machine", Dimitri de Wolf and Erik Van Overloop, we were able to wrap up 40 scenes in 2 days. Click on the photo or here to watch the commercial, crowned with a Digital Marketing Award. D.O.P. Nils Valkenborgh |
"il Capriani"
Opening up a sixth restaurant deserves a commercial. Speedboats, waterskis, champagne,... Erik Van Overloop made it possible for me to capture it all. On top of that the lunch that day was truly exquisite. Click on the photo or here to visit the site. D.O.P. Nils Valkenborgh |
"Amigo's"
What could possibly go wrong with a group of ex-cons opening up a restaurant? This critically acclaimed tv-series directed by Kadir Balci and Hendrik Moonen was fun to be a part of. "Dance Valley"
Aftermovies have become a market we've been working in for the past few years and the summer of 2015 was a busy one. all filmed in 4K on 15 camera's, we provided 2 cranes (12m and 9m) with 4 operators on different stages. This festival was quickly sold out, over 100.000 people attended. Click on the photo or here to watch the aftermovie. |
"Dutch Valley"
Connected to the massively popular "Dance Valley is this festival with an all-Dutch line-up. Only 1 crane on this one, but a fun party atmosphere nonetheless. Click on the photo or here to watch the aftermovie |
"Parkpop"
Live broadcast events are a whole other kind of shooting, directly applying instructions the director gives you in the headphone. I swung around a 10m crane while enjoying the soothing songs by Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark among others. Click on the photo or here to visit the site. |
"Night at the Park"
Held on the same terrain as parkpop in The Hague, same crane, same place, but a different line-up. This time it was K's Choice and UB40 that were the main acts. Click on the photo or here to visit the site. |
"Freshtival"
In the same genre of festivals as Dance Valley, Mystery Island and Tomorrowland, this one asked us something really special. Over a length of 150m we suspended a cablecam with a stabilized head and operated it for this huge event. Eyecandy at 35mph. Click on the photo or here to watch the aftermovie. |
"Fantasy Island"
For all of the Hardcore (the digital kind, not the guitar kind) fans that didn't get their fix during "Freshtival", there's "Fantasy Island". We left the cablecam overnight, and broke it down in the night after this festival. A fun yet different experience to operating a crane, definitely worth repeating. Click on the photo or here to watch the aftermovie. |
"How Dare They"
Apart from doing hardmount shots for this documentary series for "Docwerkers" about the European Financial institutions and crisis, I was on set for a lot of walk and talks. The first feature film by Lydia Rigaux. Dayplaying for this feature film in the ardennes was both simple and complex, intertwining the right timing and atmosphere while walking down the slippery slopes of the forest. Against a backdrop in a world of evolution, planned to be released in 2016. Click the photo or here to visit the site. D.O.P. Dries Delputte |
"Wishful Thinking"
Second time I've had Isolde in front of the lens, always a pleasure to work with her. For het latest music video we explore the mind of a woman contemplating some very violent actions against her husband after a civilized dinner party. Grip and steadicam work (though no steadicam shots made it through to the final edit it seems) was provided by yours truly. Click on the photo or here to watch the music video D.O.P. Emanuel Vanderjeugd |
"Goldilocks"
A very neat science fiction film recently found its release in the belgian VOD market. It's a story about a man alone in space on a very emotional and intense mission. "Jonathan"
Having fun at a 1000fps, it was the first time having the new Phantom Flex 4K on my Steadicam and the experience was definitely worthwhile. This colorful music video for "Jonathan" by Geppetto and the Whales is a visual feast for high-speed afficionados. The Van Ostade Brothers took care of a very enjoyable yet challenging set. Click on the photo or here to watch the music video. D.O.P. Hyun De Grande |
"Songs from the Outside"
Shot in less than ideal circumstances in a Welsh Castle, this short film surely was a marvelous experience. Come rain come shine, it was truly a set that put a lot of my gripping and Steadicam skills to the test. Click on the photo or here to watch the trailer. D.O.P. Emanuel Vanderjeugd |
"Lilith"
When I got the call to work on this movie I didn't hesitate a single second, I mean, who would refuse to work on a film about a lesbian vampire prostitute? "Lilith" is a thrilling macabre tale that takes place in the dark nightlife of Brussels, flying my rig through gritty nightclub and flamboyant pay-by-the-hour hotels. A must see. click on the photo or here to watch the trailer D.O.P. Matthias Delvaux |

"Little baby Jesus of Flandr"
The very first feature film I was able to work on, together with an entire crew that proved to become an incredible group of people with whom I'd work together a lot in the future. "Little baby Jesus of Flandr" is a project that will always be dear to my heart. Click on the photo or here to watch the trailer D.O.P. Hans Bruch Jr. |
